Line weight varies by function:
- Outer contours: heaviest, 3-4px equivalent
- Inner structure lines: medium, 2px equivalent  
- Detail lines: lightest, 1px equivalent, often broken or implied
- No lines where soft forms meet (inner cheek, nose bridge in 3/4 view)

SHADOW COLOR PHYSICS

Shadow colors shift in hue, not just value:
- Skin shadows shift toward red, orange, or purple depending on palette, never toward gray
- Hair shadows shift toward cooler or complementary hue, creating color vibration
- White surfaces show blue or lavender shadows
- Black surfaces reveal blue, purple, or warm undertones in highlights

Rim lighting appears regardless of logical light source, typically 1-2px bright edge separating figure from background.

PROPORTION SYSTEMS
