Egyptian farmers celebrate Eid al-Adha around a blazing bonfire

A warm nighttime in a rural Egyptian village near the Nile, 1800. Peasant farmers in simple traditional Galabeyas are sitting in a large circle around a massive, blazing bonfire. 

The strong orange glow of the fire illuminates their smiling faces as they sing, clap, and beat traditional drums (Daf) in celebration of Eid al-Adha's arrival.
