I simulated a digital medium format sensor with an 85mm prime lens to achieve this razor-sharp focus on the iris patterns. The composition uses a low-angle worm-s eye view to establish a sense of overwhelming dominance. I heavily layered the lighting using a warm amber desk lamp as the primary key light, contrasted against cold blue moonlight as a rim light to catch the vellus hair and micro-pores of the skin. The liquid silk of the emerald shirt was rendered with physically based materials to ensure the reflective folds interacted naturally with the Chiaroscuro shadows. I spent hours fine-tuning the subsurface scattering on the chest and collarbones to give the skin that luminous, oil-glistening glow. Every crease in the fabric and the faint condensation on the crystal glass was calculated to push the boundaries of hyper-realism. The goal was a Neo-Noir aesthetic where the texture of the dark wood and the soft bokeh of the library shelves create a world of elite decadence.🕯️🌧️
